Defiance College invites applications for an Assistant Director of Admission, Digital Marketing and Communications to lead and manage electronic recruitment and social media marketing for the Office of Admission, including those who broaden diversity of the student body and will be successful upon enrollment to the university. This position will also manage a small geographic or strategic territory as assigned. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in social media and electronic marketing and moderate website development experience in college/university admission as well as have strong communication, management and organizational skills. Experience in higher education, preferably enrollment management/admission is required with two years of admission/recruitment experience.
The candidate must work well independently and manage their time to maximize recruitment efforts. This individual must be self-motivating and goal/results driven, but also recognize they have a team of staff members on campus to assist as necessary. The candidate will be expected to exercise considerable independent judgement to devise new creative and strategic approaches, challenge the status quo and proactively anticipate the needs of the region.
Attention to detail is vital to the success of this position as well as strong communication skills both orally and in writing in a method that will relate to prospective students and their families. Customer service is a crucial component and the timeliness of response critical to increasing applications and enrollment from the region.
