Responsible for the oversight of the College Credit Plus program at Terra State Community College. Sets the strategic direction for the application, admission, enrollment, recruitment, and advising process for all prospective, current and returning CCP students. Works collaboratively with Academic Deans and other teams Maintains and seeks to grow partnerships with school administrators within the local districts. Ensures state-level reporting, compliance, and attendance at statewide meetings. Primary duties involve exercising discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance, such as administration of admission and advising practices, procedures, and policies.
Provides oversight for the admission, enrollment, and advising for prospective, new, and continuing CCP students individually and in groups, both on campus and within the partner high schools. Builds rapport by attending to student, family and stakeholder questions regarding CCP.
Serves as the primary contact for high school administrators, Academic Deans, and community partners for the CCP program.
Understands and interprets applicable CCP regulations, policies, and laws. Remains current with state-level requirements in order to ensure continued positive growth and compliance. Ensures completion of reporting requirements, collaborates with internal stakeholders, and oversees assessment and reporting. Attends state-level CCP meetings. Trains admission staff on new CCP updates and assists in negotiation of new CCP relationships with secondary schools and tech centers, including implementing memorandums of understanding and early college program administrative operations.
Collaborates with university constituents to coordinate course scheduling that accommodates the needs of high school partners and provides insight on potential curriculum development that supports the enrollment needs of both the high schools and the institution.
Plans and implements outreach activities and information / orientation sessions both on-campus and off-campus to promote CCP at Terra State. This includes events like the Annual College Fair, CCP Information Nights, Exploration Days, and the Superintendent’s and Educator’s Breakfast.
Creates and maintains matriculation procedures to smoothly transition CCP students into degree pathways at Terra State.
Remains knowledgeable of admission, enrollment, and registration practices, procedures, and processes, financial aid, academic programs, degree audits, and College and state-level dual enrollment practices, procedures, and policies associated with program offerings. Maintains comprehensive understanding of admissions, advising, financial aid, and student support services in order to coach students to success.
Requests, develops, and maintains all articulation or other academic agreements pertaining to CCP (Alternative funding, MOUs, etc).
Utilizes client resource management system (CRM) and other databases to track student contacts and information. Contributes to communication flows for inquiry through registered CCP students, adapting messages to reflect best practices assisting students through institutional processes.
Adheres to ethical standards including the National Association of College Admission Counselor standards and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines, and is knowledgeable about appropriate federal, state, and College policies, practices, and procedures. Updates student records and maintains confidential student information.
