Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a recruiting plan for undergraduates interested in the College of Business (CoB). Include consideration for traditional high school students, transfers from other colleges/schools, and adult/non-traditional populations. Special emphasis should be placed on attracting and recruiting underrepresented populations
• Develop conversion strategies to support enrollment from applicants while acting as a liaison to student groups, advisory boards, alumni groups, etc.
• Represent the CoB to prospective students at live and virtual recruiting events on and off campus, including high school visits, open houses, information sessions, and fairs
• Develop partnerships with appropriate organizations and schools to increase awareness of CoB programs
• Recruit and train UA students to act as ambassadors (e.g., Dean’s Team) to assist with outreach, communication, social media, tours, etc. for prospective students and their families
• Prepare reports using metrics about activities and goals. Work directly with the CoB leadership and across campus with other colleges and UA admissions and enrollment teams

Essential Functions:
• Update and implement the recruiting plan. Strategically schedule and manage all elements of the recruiting cycle in collaboration with CoB leadership, faculty, staff, and appropriate UA enrollment/marketing/admissions teams. Continually seek new opportunities to enhance recruiting success
• Attend all appropriate events, ensure proper attendance and participation from other key areas, and lead by demonstrating best-practice recruiting behaviors
• Communicate and interact with individual prospects and families as appropriate. Field inquiries from prospective student and applicants via email, phone, virtual meetings, and in-person. Coordinate and facilitate meetings and tours with interested students and their families visiting campus. Include student ambassadors, faculty, and staff as appropriate
• Work with new and existing partnerships (schools and other organizations) to build relationships which facilitate recruitment (current and future) success
• Make presentations and gather UA support for events and activities with those partners to enhance perception of UA value
• Monitor and manage prospects from initial leads through class registration
• Maintain extensive databases, contact lists, and other sources of prospective student information. Develop and use metrics to evaluate success of programs and activities throughout the recruiting cycle
• Focus on recruiting underrepresented groups to ensure a more diverse and inclusive student class

Required Qualifications
• Education: Requires a relevant Bachelor’s Degree
• Licenses/Certifications/Requirements: Valid driver’s license
• Experience: Requires a minimum of 2 year’s experience with customer service, sales, marketing, public relations, advising/counseling, and/or event planning
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook required
• Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed
• Leadership: Responsible for directing and monitoring the work of student and/or temporary workers

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the higher education environment and operations preferred.

Working Conditions
Some travel and mobility will be required. Minor heating/cooling or ventilation problems could be expected. Near continuous use (>70% of the time) of a computer.

Compensation
The compensation for this position starts at $45,000.00/year and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
