The Coordinator of Recruitment and Retention will manage recruitment initiatives for first year and transfer students, develop retention initiatives, and provide support for student success within the School of Education and Health Sciences (SEHS). The Coordinator will collaborate with University partners to support and advance a diverse learning environment and enrollment/retention-related outcomes across the full student lifecycle from recruitment through graduation, with an emphasis on students from underrepresented populations.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Experience teaching, mentoring, academic coaching, tutoring college or high school students
• Experience working with underrepresented college or high school students
• Effective written communication skills
• Experience in public speaking and presentations in professional settings
• Experience organizing and planning, including flexibility, attention to detail, prioritization, and effective time management skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office software
• Willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed
• Professional experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in College Student Personnel, Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling, Education, or other related field
• Bachelor’s degree in education or health science field
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated working knowledge of learning support programs in higher education
• Demonstrated successful experience working with college students in mentoring, academic coaching, instruction, and/or program development
• Demonstrated successful experience designing and implementing strategies for supporting retention and academic success of underrepresented college students
• Demonstrated experience recruiting underrepresented college students
• Successful experience working with students in community colleges
• Demonstrated successful experience to collaborate, work effectively with a diverse team, and work independently
• Successful experience managing confidential records and knowledge of FERPA
• Successful experience in managing multiple, concurrent projects
