Advise prospective students and others regarding program offerings and admissions requirements. Plan and conduct extensive recruiting activities at designated secondary schools and college fairs.
Territory Management – planning and coordinating high school visits and attending college fairs within an assigned geographic travel territory; interaction with school counselors; students and family member.
Continued communication with prospective students via direct mail, phone and e-mail. Conduct daily/Saturday Admissions information sessions and campus tours as needed with prospective students and family members.
Serve as liaison with academic and student services areas as assigned.
Assist with coordination of Admissions recruitment and yield events.
Other responsibilities as designed.
Responsible for directing and monitoring the work of student and temporary workers
Requires a relevant Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of one (1) year experience in a higher education environment, preferably an Office of Admissions as a student assistant, graduate assistant, or admissions counselor. Knowledge of university program offerings and admissions process. Knowledge of personal computer and mainframe use in student information systems required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Public speaking skills and the ability to communicate with diverse audiences required.
Valid Driver’s license.
Knowledge of university procedure policies and administrative structure preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
