Summary

Ursuline College seeks bright and energetic individual to join the Office of Graduate, Adult and Transfer Admission.  The Admission staff contributes greatly to maintaining and enhancing Ursuline’s reputation.  Admission Counselors play a vital role in continuing the efforts to present Ursuline College to prospective students and develop programs to assist with their needs. Responsible for recruiting, qualifying and counseling adult transfer students. Develops and leads implementation of a recruitment plan for adult transfer students. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Graduate, Adult and Transfer Admission.

Responsibilities

Manage a recruitment territory, developing strategies for improving market share in adult transfer students. Travel to college fairs, community colleges, businesses, and other off campus recruitment events. Build and maintain relationships with community college counselors. Work closely with students pursuing dual admission with Ursuline.  Work with community college contacts to implement reverse degree programs. Plan campus visit events designed to target the needs of adult transfer students. Determine student interest from point of inquiry through the registration stage. Design and implement a transfer student recruitment communication plan that is diversified, creative and responsive to student needs. In collaboration with academic program deans and directors, coordinate and promote the development of general, program-to-program, and special articulation agreements with community college partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. At least 3 years previous experience in college admission/higher education setting. Must be highly motivated and energetic, detail oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal, written communication and presentation skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Demonstrated experience working in an inclusive environment.
